About NameWheel.top

Free online spinner wheel — no sign-up, no uploads, no fuss.

What this website is

NameWheel.top is a free online wheel of names — a collection of spinning-wheel tools that let you:

Every tool is completely free, requires no account, and adds no watermark.

Why we built it

"Who goes first?" "Who won the raffle?" "What are we having for lunch?" — small everyday decisions have a way of turning into long debates. A spinning wheel settles them in seconds, out loud, in a way everyone can see and trust. Teachers use it to cold-call fairly, streamers use it to pick giveaway winners, families use it to end the dinner argument. We built NameWheel.top so that kind of fair, transparent randomness is one click away for anyone, on any device, at zero cost.

We also believe a list of names is personal data — even when it's just a class roster. That's why the wheel runs entirely inside your browser: your entries, your settings and your results are never uploaded to any server. You can load the page, switch off the internet, and the wheel keeps spinning.

How it works technically

The wheel is drawn on an HTML5 <canvas> and animated with requestAnimationFrame using a physics-style ease-out, so the spin looks and feels like a real wheel slowing down. Each spin's total travel distance comes from your browser's cryptographically strong random number generator. Sound effects are synthesized live with the Web Audio API — there are no audio files. Your wheel is stored in localStorage, and share links simply carry the configuration inside the URL hash, so sharing a wheel never touches our servers either.

What we don't do

Fair-use note

NameWheel.top produces random outcomes for entertainment and everyday decisions: classrooms, giveaways among friends, team stand-ups, party games. It is not a gambling service, and it must not be used for sweepstakes or contests that have legal or regulatory requirements — those need certified drawing procedures. Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice.
